Although he is the president of the most important country in the Western world, Joe Biden took a back seat after deciding not to seek reelection and supporting Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party candidate. However, his health is still a cause of concern and criticism for his political opponents after apparently experiencing a new episode of confusion.
The event took place over the weekend in his city of Wilmington, in the state of Delaware, where he summoned the leaders of the governments of Japan, Australia, and India for the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, better known as the Quad, with the main objective of countering China in the Asia-Pacific region.
How did this new incident with Joe Biden happen?
After finishing his welcome speech, the president said, "Who do I have to introduce next?" After a few seconds without a response or any information, Biden raised his voice and said, "Who's next?", creating discomfort among the attendees.
It was there that, apparently with a signal from someone, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, stood up to greet Joe Biden while the official voice of the event introduced the Indian leader.
There at least the President of the United States took the time to joke and said after greeting Modi that "by the way, he is from a small country like ours. A small population like ours", since India has an approximate population of 1.4 billion people.

This new episode of Joe Biden comes after, on Friday, in the first cabinet meeting in 11 months, his wife Jill Biden sat at the head of the table, generating a lot of criticism.
The right-wing newspaper New York Post, a fierce critic of the Biden administration, wrote that the event was "as if she were in charge. She gave a brief speech on one of her favorite topics while Joe stared into space and cabinet members had to politely applaud."
Columnist Miranda Devine from the Post wrote: "Who is running the country?"
