The candidates for the Presidency of the United States, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, faced each other in their first televised debate on Tuesday, September 10th. The debate was highly controversial due to the questioning of the partiality of the ABC News presenters in favor of democracy. Experts and citizens in general believe that the current Vice President was the winner, however, according to Republicans, the former president was the victor.
Although at first, many thought about the possibility of a new debate, everything seems to indicate that the one from last Tuesday was the first and last one, as Trump ruled out another. With a message on his X account, he announced in capital letters that "THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!".
Additionally, he confirmed to the New York Post that "there is no debate on the 25th. Nothing has been arranged."
Although the debate was the first between Trump and Harris, for him it would be the third, as on June 27 he had one with President Joe Biden.
However, Kamala Harris is in favor of a new face-off: "I think we owe it to the voters another debate, because these elections and what is at stake could not be more important," she said in North Carolina during her first rally after September 10th.
Some claim that Donald Trump does not want another debate out of fear of being defeated again by the Democrat, but he stated in X that "when a boxer loses a fight, the first words that come out of his mouth are: 'I WANT A REMATCH.' The polls clearly show that I won the Debate against comrade Kamala Harris, the radical left candidate of the Democrats, on Tuesday night, and immediately she requested a second debate".
He emphasized that Harris refused to participate in the debates on NBC, CBS, as well as Fox. "Kamala should focus on what she should have done over the last almost four years. THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!".
Donald Trump and the debate with Kamala Harris
The day after the debate with Kamala Harris, Donald Trump told Fox News that she and the ABC network had set up an ambush against him, as everything was rigged against him. He questioned why the hosts David Muir and Linsey Davis interrupted him but not her.
"They set up an ambush, as I imagined would happen. It is evident in the fact that they corrected everything, but they did not correct her," Trump stated.
There are even those who accused ABC of giving the questions in advance to Harris, claiming that she had earpieces during the debate, something that the Democrats have denied.
The former president told The Post, “I think she had the questions. And I think the moderators... were a disgrace to American journalism... You saw the way it was done, that was ridiculous.”
