Jennifer Garner is not only the mother of Ben Affleck’s children, but she has also been a great support and pillar for the actor during his divorce process from Jennifer Lopez, even letting him stay in her impressive $8 million ranch-style home.
On Tuesday, the 52-year-old actress, who bought the property in 2019 after finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, opened the doors of the spectacular property to offer a tour of the home that she built "from scratch".
How is the luxurious farm of Jennifer Garner where Ben Affleck stays while going through their divorce?
After moving out of the 8,798-square-foot mansion she once shared with her ex-husband and their three children, 18-year-old Violet Ann, 15-year-old Finn, and 12-year-old Samuel, the star of Going On 30 embarked on a mission to build her dream home in Brentwood, near San Francisco in the state of California.
"I searched and searched for a house to move into, but I needed privacy, and any house with privacy is more wonderful than I feel comfortable with," she said in an interview with Architectural Digest.
After feeling "disappointed" by what was available on the market, she simply decided to buy a lot and partnered with designer Brooke Giannetti and architect Steve Giannetti. "In the middle of construction, I started to panic," she admits. "I thought I hadn't even made a Pinterest board. I hadn't even shown him a magazine photo. I just told him what I wanted and he did it... but it turns out I am very, very happy."
The mother of three children explained to AD that it was the first time she was making design decisions on her own, and that's how she managed to create a space for her children with many personalized features, including a Harry Potter-themed office, a fish tank, and a "pajama room."
Steve's wife, Brooke, responsible for the beautiful interior design of the house, pointed out that "Jane loves vintage pieces" and has a "slightly peculiar" taste: 'She likes soft shapes, curves. This place is like Jane's home version of her personality," explained Brooke.
