This past weekend, the highly anticipated D23, Disney’s annual conference in California where the company announces news in all its entertainment areas, took place. With plenty of good news for fans of the brand and all its franchises, Disney parks also stood out with major updates.

At Disneyland Paris, attractions from 'The Lion King' and 'Frozen' will be arriving, while Spider-Man will have two new attractions at Shanghai Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland, with no specific date yet. And fun new attractions will also be arriving at the parks in the United States.

What are the news for the Disney parks in the United States?

At California's Disneyland, the Avengers Campus is set to undergo a significant expansion, doubling its size with two new attractions. The first one is a mysterious and ambitious multiversal experience called Avengers Infinity Defense, which will take visitors to Asgard, Wakanda, and New York and is said to be "highly immersive." The second attraction will be Stark Flight Lab, featuring the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and offering a "flight simulation" experience in two-person vehicles.

For Star Wars fans, there will also be news as the space simulator Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, which puts visitors at the controls of the Millennium Falcon, will have a new story based on The Mandalorian and Grogu. It will arrive in 2026 with the new movie and will be developed with Unreal Engine 5.

In other Disney news, Tiana's Bayou Adventure will be coming to the park, the attraction that was recently introduced at Disney World, located in Orlando, as well as an attraction based on 'Coco', inspired by the classics 'The Haunted Mansion' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.

Additionally, after years of being a recurring request from fans, an area dedicated to villains will finally arrive at Magic Kingdom within Disney World. It will have two major yet unconfirmed attractions, as well as dining and shopping options. The area is already under construction, so the wait to start enjoying this attraction won't be much longer.
