The Paris 2024 Olympic Games have had several aspects that have set them apart from previous competitions. One of these is that the opening ceremony was not held in a stadium, but outdoors, on the banks of the River Seine. Another unique aspect is that the mascot is not an animal, but a Phrygian cap, a symbol of freedom in France. Additionally, the cauldron of the Olympic flame is also noteworthy, as it is the first one to operate without fossil fuels and will illuminate every night at a height of over 60 meters, something unprecedented.

The Associated Press (AP) reported that according to the organizers of Paris 2024, the cauldron will be lit from the ground during the day and starting this Saturday, it will illuminate the nights from the sky at over 60 meters (197 feet) high above the Tuileries Gardens. The cauldron, held by a large balloon, will be raised from dusk until 2 in the morning.

Curious facts about the unpublished cauldron of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games
The cauldron and its Olympic flame have always been the most symbolic elements of the Olympic Games, so the organizers of Paris 2024 focused their ambition on this to do something unprecedented.
Unlike the typical torch with fossil fuels, the cauldron of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is lit up with 40 LED spotlights "to illuminate the cloud created by 200 high-pressure misting nozzles," organizers explained, as reported by AP. This way, there will be low carbon emissions.
“We wanted the cauldron to use a new technology in order to not produce as many emissions... We were ambitious and wanted to combine something spectacular with environmental responsibility at the same time,” said Tony Estanguet, chief organizer of Paris 2024, as reported by the aforementioned news agency.
The cauldron will continue to shine after the Olympic Games to remain lit during the Paralympic Games, which will take place from August 28 to September 8.
