J.D Vance, recently chosen by Donald Trump as his vice president, if he manages to win the election on November 5th, made a unfortunate statement in the past that caused quite a stir in the general society of the United States, especially among the female community. This situation resurfaced this week and sparked a plethora of criticisms, including one from actress Jennifer Aniston.

“We are effectively run in this country, via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too,” Vance stated in an interview with the renowned Fox News host, Tucker Carlson, conducted in 2021.

“And it’s just a basic fact if you look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg (Secretary of Transportation), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Democratic congresswoman from NY). The entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?”, Vance added.

Vice President Harris became stepmother to two teenagers when she married lawyer Douglas Emhoff in 2014.

What did Aniston say against J.D. Vance?

The famous actress from the acclaimed TV series "Friends", who does not have children, expressed through the social network Instagram that she is quite upset that the possible leader who will accompany Trump in the White House for the next 4 years is the one who uttered the controversial phrase.

“I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential vice president of the United States. All I can say is... Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is lucky enough to have her own children someday,” wrote Aniston in her Instagram stories. “I hope she won’t need to resort to IVF (in vitro fertilization) as a second option. Because you are also trying to take that away from her.”

This Wednesday, July 24th, Aniston posted a video from 2018, where she showed her support for Kamala Harris. The video is about the pressure on the then Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, regarding the right to abortion.
