The premiere of "Gladiator 2" is scheduled for November in the United States and Canada.

What is "Gladiator 2" about?

The story follows a warrior who fights for his freedom and to restore justice in a declining Roman Empire. The trailer shows scenes of intense battles and stunning cinematography, maintaining the high standard of the original film.

In the first installment, actor Russell Crowe played Maximus Decimus Meridius, but decades after his death, the story focuses on Lucius, who lives in a distant region with his family, precisely to protect themselves from Rome.

The story, however, will not end there, as the Roman general Marcus Acacius (Pedro Pascal) will appear on the scene, who will capture him and take him back to Rome. In the heart of the empire is where Mescal will face Pascal, after learning disturbing stories.

A top-notch cast

In addition to having Pedro Pascal, "Gladiator 2" features a standout cast with renowned actors.

The inclusion of Pascal has generated great interest, especially due to his recent success in series such as "The Mandalorian" and "The Last of Us".

Alongside Pascal, Mescal, and Washington, the return of Connie Nielsen stands out, who, just like in “Gladiator 1″, will play Lucilla, the lover of Maximus, daughter of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, and mother of an now adult Lucius (Mescal).
