President Joe Biden admitted that he went to the doctor after the debate: “I had a bad night”

President Joe Biden told Democratic governors on Wednesday that he had gone to the doctor.

Joe Biden said during a meeting of Democratic governors that he had gone to the doctor after the debate and “had been given the green light,” statements that contradict the information handled by the White House.

Biden's meeting with Democratic governors

In the meeting, held via video call on Wednesday night, the president faced several questions about his performance in last week's debate, hosted by CNN in Atlanta.

When asked if he had received medical attention after the debate, he told the governors that a doctor examined him and everything was fine, according to two sources.

But previously, Karine Jean-Pierre, White House press secretary, said that Biden had not undergone any medical examination since February, when he had a complete annual physical exam that presidents routinely undergo.

"I had a bad night"

According to the politico.com portal, the source was related to them at the time when Biden is trying to calm down rumors about his governorship deficiency for the second time in the US.

During a radio broadcast in Wisconsin, the president told listeners: "I had a bad night, I had a bad night. And the fact is that... I made a mistake."

"I didn't have a good debate. It's 90 minutes on stage. Look at what I've done in 3.5 years. I pulled the economy back from the brink of collapse."

What did the White House say about Biden's visit to the doctor?

"Several days later, the President was seen to check on his cold and he was recovering well," said White House spokesperson Andrew Bates, according to NBC News. But they did not add that Biden has been neurologically assessed since the debate.

In fact, like other presidents, he is always accompanied by a doctor.
