Simone Biles returns to the Olympic Games with a strong step

The American gymnast, Simone Biles, will be in Paris 2024, after qualifying in a strong manner.

Simone Biles secured her participation and return to the Olympic Games, after qualifying convincingly in the trials of the United States.

The American athlete had a remarkable participation in Rio 2016. However, halfway through Tokyo 2020, she decided to step aside to prioritize her mental health issues.

For this reason, Simone will seek to resurge in the summer event of Paris 2024, where she wants to validate what she achieved in her first participation.

Biles' routines in the qualification made it clear that she will be coming back for her throne, as she left behind Sunisa Lee, the current Olympic champion, Jade Carey, floor champion in Tokyo, and Jordan Chiles.

At the Target Center in Minneapolis, the gymnast got the crowd on their feet after performing her signature Yurchenko double jump, which is now known as the Biles II.

Currently, Biles has 37 Olympic and world medals, making her the most successful athlete of all time in her discipline.

It is worth mentioning that in Rio 2016, a total of four gold medals were won, which is why they want to reaffirm their power in Paris 2024.

Although her mental health took her out of competition in Tokyo 2020, Biles is now working on it.

“All the work she has been doing outside of the gym, and at just 27 years old and married, she has other things to do, and I think it helps her maintain a good balance. You know, it’s not just about gymnastics and I think that keeps her sane. But in her gymnastics, it’s also paying off,” recounted Cecile Landi, Simone’s coach.
