Paris Hilton denounces sexual abuse she suffered

Paris Hilton recounted that she experienced emotional and physical abuse when she was placed in such facilities during her childhood and adolescence, which is why she seeks to defend children and prevent them from going through the same.

The celebrity shared that she experienced traumatic moments that still affect her to this day, such as when she was taken out of her bed in the middle of the night and transferred to another residential center at the age of 16, where she was sexually abused.

“It’s something I had never talked about before. At Provo Canyon School, I was woken up in the middle of the night by male staff who took me to a private room and performed ‘cervical exams’ on me in the middle of the night,” revealed the businesswoman.

And she highlighted, "deprived of sleep and heavily medicated, I didn't understand what was happening. They forced me to lie down on a padded table, open my legs, and undergo 'cervical exams'. I cried while they held me down and said, 'Shut up. Shut up. Stop struggling.' 'I was raped and I'm crying. I don't know what they were doing, but I'm sure they weren't doctors'."

He also pointed out that the industry does not care about the well-being of children, they only see these centers as a way to make a lot of money.

“This $23 billion industry sees this population of vulnerable children as a dollar sign and operates without significant oversight. There is no education in these places, there is mold and blood on the walls. It’s chilling how these places are. They are worse than some dog kennels,” she expressed.

And she stated that these types of programs promise "healing, growth, and support," but she was not allowed to speak, or even look out the window for years, and she even claims that her parents were deceived.

"My parents were completely deceived, this profit-driven industry lied to them and manipulated them, so you can only imagine the experience of young people who have no one to control them."

The businesswoman's goal is to prevent more children and teenagers from going through these same situations, and several legislators agreed with her desire and need.

“I am here to be the voice of the children whose voices cannot be heard. The treatment these children have had to endure is criminal,” he emphasized.

In social media, this action has been applauded, as children and teenagers deserve to be respected and be in safe places, and fortunately she, who has a powerful voice and can help them, is doing it.
