The actor Kevin Spacey hinted that King Charles III sent him a message of support when he was caught up in the sexual abuse scandal for which he went to trial. However, he did not provide details about the monarch’s involvement in this matter because “I don’t want to drag him into all of this.”

New York Post reported that the artist said this on Tuesday in an interview with Piers Morgan when he asked him if the king had reached out to him after the sexual abuse allegations. The question arose because before the accusations against him, His Majesty had knighted him.

When Morgan asked, the actor replied, "No, I haven't received any news directly from him." The interviewer insisted, "But through other people?" to which Kevin Spacey said, "That could be true."

The presenter persisted in asking if the monarch sent him a message through someone, and that's when Spacey said: "I did hear a message, yes, and I am very, very grateful for that."

"A message of support?" Morgan continued, prompting a confirmation from the 64-year-old actor. However, Spacey emphasized, "Yes, but look, I don't want to drag him into all of this.

The Post recalled that in June 2016, King Charles III granted Spacey the title of honorary knight. At that time, the monarch was still a prince.

In 2017, accusations of sexual abuse against the actor began. He was accused of sexual crimes against four men between 2004 and 2013, leading to nine charges being filed against him. However, in 2023, he was declared innocent and acquitted of these crimes.

The aforementioned media outlet reported that in the conversation with Morgan, Kevin Spacey also talked about his good relationship with Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell, who in turn had connections with Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire accused of sexual crimes, and who died while in prison.

However, in the same interview, Spacey clarified that he only saw Prince Andrew once when he went to Buckingham Palace, invited by Bill Clinton. “I had never seen him before and I haven’t seen him since, so that’s the context. Then the president and I went to Blackpool.”
